Kevin Farmer for Cincinnati City Council: From the Community, For "My Hood"
As your next City Council official, I bring more than a platform—I bring lived experience. From foster care to public service, from street-level promotion to national campaigns, I’ve walked the hard roads many in our city still travel. I understand the frustration of feeling unheard, overlooked, and locked out of systems designed to serve all of us. That’s why I’m running—to bridge the gap between government and the people.
Transparency, Accountability, and True Representation
I’m committed to creating real transparency between government and the people. Too often, decisions are made behind closed doors, disconnected from the day-to-day realities of the neighborhoods they affect. I will work to ensure that residents are not only informed—but involved—at every level of city governance.
Investing in the People, Not Just the Buildings
My focus is on our hoods—where infrastructure means more than roads and buildings. It means safe spaces for youth, job opportunities for returning citizens, and mental health resources for those living with trauma. True infrastructure includes investment in people, community-driven development, and equitable access to city services.
A New Approach to Violence Prevention
We cannot police our way out of the violence in our communities. I believe in giving those who have been involved in or impacted by gun violence a seat at the table—because no one understands the solutions better than those living the problem. I will advocate for violence interruption programs, mentorship pipelines, and job training that connects directly to city-backed opportunities.
Rooted in Experience, Ready to Serve
I’ve built my business, Made You Look Promotions, from the ground up—earning national respect while staying grounded in local service. I’ve partnered with nonprofits, mentored young men from the foster system, and helped amplify community voices through campaigns that matter. I know what it takes to build trust, mobilize people, and get results.
Now, I’m ready to bring that same energy, commitment, and strategy to City Hall—where it’s long overdue.
Let’s build a city that works with the people, not just around them. Let’s bring power back to the neighborhoods. Let’s get to work.
